Good Bad Translations

Translating is not as easy as many people think. Words do not always have a one-to-one equivalent in another language. Add slang, localisms, sayings and other nuances and it becomes easier to make a mistake.

Fortunately, sometimes some translations are so bad, they’re good. Here are a few of them.


I’ve heard of some people running here.


Best if hot and creamy. Do not chew.


They’re treacherous.


At least they’re honest.


Please use your super powers of detection.


When you get more tourists than you can handle.


No blacks or Mexicans allowed.


We aim to please!


We don’t need no stinkin’ vegans.


We have no words.
